Jeremiah 41 describes the murder of Gedaliah, the governor appointed by the Babylonians to govern the remnant of Judah after the fall of Jerusalem. Ishmael, a royal descendant, forest gedalia and many other Jews and Babylonians who were with him. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:
2 Kings 25:25: "But it happened that, in the seventh month came Ishmael, son of Netanias, son of Elisama, of royal descent, and ten men with him, and wounded Gedaliah, and he died, along with the Jews and The Chaldeans who were with him in Mizpá.
