2. Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?"
Psalm 115 is a psalm of praise to the true and alive God, contrasting Him with the useless idols made by human hands. The following verses highlight God's greatness and faithfulness, emphasizing the confidence we must have to the detriment of anything else:
Isaiah 44:6: "Thus saith the Lord, the king of Israel, his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and the last, beyond me there is no God." This verse highlights the uniqueness of God and its role as creator and ruler of the universe.
