Numbers 32 addresses the granting of Gilead's land to the tribes of Rúben and Gade, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh. Joshua 22:33: "The Israelites were pleased and no longer talked about going to the war against the Rubenites and the Gadites and destroying the land they lived in." This verse shows that the dispute was peacefully resolved, and the tribes of Rúben, Gade and half of the tribe of Manasseh could remain in their land granted east of the Jordan.
