Chapter 1 of the Gospel of John presents Jesus as the Word of God Incarnate, who came to illuminate all and reveal the grace and truth of God to the world. He exists before all things, and in Him all things subsist. " These verses relate to the statement of John 1:3 that all things were done through Jesus and nothing that was done was done without Him.
Hebrews 1:1-2: "In the past God spoke many times and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, but in these last days he spoke to us through the Son, to whom he was heir to all things and through Who made the universe. " This verse relates to the idea of John 1:14 that the word became flesh and dwelt among us, revealing the grace and the truth of God to the world.
