Wisdom of Solomon, 8

21. And since I know that it is not possible to be chaste except as a gift from God, and that it is a point of wisdom to know whose gift it is, I approached the Lord, and I besought him, and I said with my whole heart:

Proverbs 8:11: "For wisdom is better than jewelry, and all that one desires nothing can be compared to it." This verse highlights the importance of wisdom, which is more valuable than any material object.

Proverbs 16:16: "The better it is to acquire wisdom than gold! And the more excellent, acquire prudence than silver!" This verse reinforces the idea that wisdom is more valuable than any material wealth.

Proverbs 4:7: "Wisdom is the main thing; because wisdom, it employs everything you have in the acquisition of understanding." This verse points out that wisdom is the most important thing someone can acquire and should be sought with all commitment.

James 1:5: "And if any of you are lacking wisdom, ask it to God, who gives all liberally, and does not throw him into the face; and be given to him." This verse points out that wisdom is a divine gift and that those who seek it must ask it to God.

Proverbs 9:10: "The fear of the Lord is the principle of wisdom, and the knowledge of the saint is prudence." This verse shows that wisdom has a direct connection with God and that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
