Chapter 5 of 2 chronicles continues the report of the construction of the temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. In this chapter, the focus is on the dedication of the temple, where Solomon and the priests brought the ark of the covenant to the Holy of Holies and made sacrifices to the Lord. God manifested his presence in the temple filling him with a cloud. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in 2 chronicles 5:
1 Kings 8:10-11: "And it happened that, coming out the priests of the sanctuary, the cloud filled the house of the Lord. So that the priests could not remain there, to minister, because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord Filled the house of the Lord. " This verse reports an event similar to what happened in 2 chronicles 5, when God manifested his presence in the temple of Solomon.
Exodus 40:34-35: "Then the cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
