Salmos, 33

1. ¡Gritad de júbilo, justos, por Yahveh!, de los rectos es propia la alabanza;

1. Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for the upright.

2. ¡dad gracias a Yahveh con la cítara, salmodiad para él al arpa de diez cuerdas;

2. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings.

3. cantadle un cantar nuevo, tocad la mejor música en la aclamación!

3. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

4. Pues recta es la palabra de Yahveh, toda su obra fundada en la verdad;

4. For the word of the LORD [is] right; and all his works [are done] in truth.

5. él ama la justicia y el derecho, del amor de Yahveh está llena la tierra.

5. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

6. Por la palabra de Yahveh fueron hechos los cielos por el soplo de su boca toda su mesnada.

6. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

7. El recoge, como un dique, las aguas del mar, en depósitos pone los abismos.

7. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

8. ¡Tema a Yahveh la tierra entera, ante él tiemblen todos los que habitan el orbe!

8. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

9. Pues él habló y fue así, mandó él y se hizo.

9. For he spake, and it was [done]; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10. Yahveh frustra el plan de las naciones, hace vanos los proyectos de los pueblos;

10. The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11. mas el plan de Yahveh subsiste para siempre, los proyectos de su corazón por todas las edades.

11. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12. ¡Feliz la nación cuyo Dios es Yahveh, el pueblo que se escogió por heredad!

12. Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD; [and] the people [whom] he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13. Yahveh mira de lo alto de los cielos, ve a todos los hijos de Adán;

13. The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14. desde el lugar de su morada observa a todos los habitantes de la tierra,

14. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15. él, que forma el corazón de cada uno, y repara en todas sus acciones.

15. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16. No queda a salvo el rey por su gran ejército, ni el bravo inmune por su enorme fuerza.

16. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17. Vana cosa el caballo para la victoria, ni con todo su vigor puede salvar.

17. An horse [is] a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver [any] by his great strength.

18. Los ojos de Yahveh están sobre quienes le temen, sobre los que esperan en su amor,

18. Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19. para librar su alma de la muerte, y sostener su vida en la penuria.

19. To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20. Nuestra alma en Yahveh espera, él es nuestro socorro y nuestro escudo;

20. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he [is] our help and our shield.

21. en él se alegra nuestro corazón, y en su santo nombre confiamos.

21. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22. Sea tu amor, Yahveh, sobre nosotros, como está en ti nuestra esperanza.

22. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
