Hosea, 9

7. The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know [it]: the prophet [is] a fool, the spiritual man [is] mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

Hosea Chapter 9 deals with the imminent punishment that God will bring about the people of Israel because of their sins and infidelity. Jeremiah 17:10: "I, the Lord, squad my heart, I prove the thoughts; and this to give each one according to his ways, according to the fruit of his works." This verse talks about God's righteousness and how he judges each one according to his works, a theme present in Hosea 9.
