Psalm 63 is a Psalm of David in which he expresses his thirst for God. David describes the joy and satisfaction he finds in God and seeks his presence constantly. He recognizes that God is his source of life and rejoices in worshiping him. Sewing the whole Bible, five verses related to the topics covered in Psalm 63 were found, presented below in order of proximity to the themes of the chapter:
Psalm 42:1-2: "Since the doe longs for current waters, my soul yearns for you, O God. My soul is thirsty for God, the living God. When can I come into present to God?" This verse shows the thirst that David feels for God and the constant search for his presence.
Psalm 84:2: "My soul sighs and fades through the Lords of the Lord; my heart and my body sing with joy to the living God." This verse also shows the joy and satisfaction that David finds in God, that makes him sing and praise.
Psalm 36:8-9: "They will feast on the abundance of your house; you give you to drink from your river of delights. For in you is the source of life; thanks to your light, we see the light." This verse points out that God is the source of life and that those who seek Him can find joy and satisfaction in His presence.
Isaiah 55:1: "Ah! All you, those who thirst, come to waters; and you, those who do not have money, come, buy and eat! Come and buy, without money and no price, wine and milk." This verse invites all those who thirsty to come to God and find satisfaction in their presence.
John 6:35: "Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; He who comes to me shall not be hungry, and he who believes in me shall never thirst." This verse presents Jesus as the source of eternal life and satisfaction, which can satisfy the spiritual thirst of those who seek him.
