Psalms, 94
1. The Praise of a Canticle, of David himself. Come, let us exult in the Lord. Let us shout joyfully to God, our Savior.
1. Bože osvetnièe, Jahve, Bože osvetnièe, pokaži se.
2. Let us anticipate his presence with confession, and let us sing joyfully to him with psalms.
2. Ustani ti što sudiš zemlju, po zasluzi plati oholima!
3. For the Lord is a great God and a great King over all gods.
3. Dokle æe bezbošci, Jahve, dokle æe se bezbošci hvastati?
4. For in his hand are all the limits of the earth, and the heights of the mountains are his.
4. Dokle æe brbljati, drsko govoriti, dokle æe se bezakonici hvastati?
5. For the sea is his, and he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
5. Tlaèe narod tvoj, Jahve, i baštinu tvoju pritišæu;
6. Come, let us adore and fall prostrate, and let us weep before the Lord who made us.
6. kolju udovicu i pridošlicu, sirotama život oduzimlju
7. For he is the Lord our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
7. i govore: "Jahve ne vidi! Ne opaža Bog Jakovljev!"
8. If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts:
8. Shvatite, lude u narodu: bezumni, kad æete se urazumiti?
9. as in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness, where your fathers tempted me; they tested me, though they had seen my works.
9. Onaj što uho zasadi da ne èuje? Koji stvori oko da ne vidi?
10. For forty years, I was offended by that generation, and I said: These have always strayed in heart.
10. Onaj što odgaja narode da ne kazni - Onaj što ljude uèi mudrosti?
11. And these have not known my ways. So I swore in my wrath: They shall not enter into my rest.
11. Jahve poznaje namisli ljudske: one su isprazne.
12.
12. Blago onom koga ti pouèavaš, Jahve, i uèiš Zakonu svojemu:
13.
13. da mu mir udijeliš od nesretnih dana, dok se grob kopa zlikovcu.
14.
14. Jer neæe Jahve odbaciti naroda svojega i svoje baštine neæe napustiti;
15.
15. jer æe se pravo dosuditi pravednosti i za njom æe iæi svi èestiti srcem.
16.
16. Tko æe ustati za me protiv zlotvora? Tko æe se zauzeti za me protiv zloèinaca?
17.
17. Da mi Jahve ne pomaže, brzo bih sišao u mjesto tišine.
18.
18. Èim pomislim: "Noga mi posræe", dobrota me tvoja, o Jahve, podupire.
19.
19. Kad se skupe tjeskobe u srcu mome, tvoje mi utjehe dušu vesele.
20.
20. Zar je bezbožno sudište u savezu s tobom kad nevolje stvara pod izlikom zakona?
21.
21. Nek' samo pritišæu dušu pravednog, nek' osuðuju krv nedužnu:
22.
22. Jahve mi je utvrda, Bog - hrid utoèišta moga.
23.
23. Platit æe im bezakonje njihovo, njihovom æe ih zloæom istrijebiti, istrijebit æe ih Jahve, Bog naš.
