Chapter 2 of Sophonies talks about the imminent destruction that will come about the neighboring nations of Judah, including Moab, Ammon, Cux and Nineveh. The chapter ends with a call to repentance to the inhabitants of Judah so that they can be spared from the wrath of God. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in sophonies 2:
Isaiah 13:6: "howl, for the day of the Lord is near; it will come as a brush of the Almighty." This verse talks about the coming of the day of the Lord and its destructive nature, which relates to the prophecy of saponies about the destruction that will come over the nations.

" This verse talks about the punishment that will come upon Babylon for its disobedience, which relates to the prophecy of Sophonies about the destruction that will come over the nations.
