2 Chronicles, 3

1. Solomon then began building the house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David his father had had a vision -- on the site which David had prepared -- on the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2 Chronicles 3 describes the construction of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem. This verse describes the construction of Solomon's temple and is a direct continuation of the report in 2 chronicles 3.

2 Chronicles 3:5 - "The great figures of cherubim sculpted in gold -covered olive wood were placed in the saint of saints." This verse describes the installation of cherubim in the saint of saints, an important part of the temple of Solomon.

This was the place designated by David in the thin of Araúna, the Jebusu, where David had had built an altar to the Lord. " This verse establishes the place of the construction of the temple, showing that Solomon followed his father David's plan.
