Ezekiel, 25

1. The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,

1. Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:

2. 'Son of man, turn towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

2. Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht gegen die Ammoniter, sprich als Prophet über sie,

3. Say to the Ammonites, "Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since you gloated over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was ravaged, and over the House of Judah when it went into exile,

3. und sag zu ihnen: Hört das Wort Gottes, des Herrn: So spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil du gegen mein Heiligtum hin «Ha, ha» geschrien hast, als es entweiht wurde, und gegen das Land Israel, als es verwüstet wurde, und gegen das Haus Juda, als es verschleppt wurde,

4. I shall let the sons of the East take possession of you; they will pitch their camps inside you, they will make their home in you. They will be the ones to eat your produce and drink your milk.

4. darum gebe ich dich jetzt den Völkern des Ostens zum Besitz. Sie werden ihre Zelte bei dir aufschlagen und ihre Siedlungen bei dir errichten. Sie werden deine Früchte essen und deine Milch trinken.

5. I shall turn Rabbah into a camel yard and the towns of Ammon into sheepfolds. And so you will know that I am Yahweh.

5. Rabba mache ich zum Weideplatz der Kamele und die Städte der Ammoniter zum Lager der Schafe und Ziegen. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

6. "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have clapped your hands and danced for joy, full of malicious delight at Israel's fate,

6. Denn so spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil du in die Hände geklatscht und mit dem Fuß auf den Boden gestampft hast, voll höhnischer Schadenfreude über das Land Israel,

7. my hand will be against you for this; I shall hand you over to be looted by the peoples, obliterate you as a nation and wipe you out as a country. I shall reduce you to nothing, and you will know that I am Yahweh.

7. darum strecke ich jetzt meine Hand gegen dich aus, ich überlasse dich den Völkern zur Plünderung, ich rotte dich aus unter den Nationen und sorge dafür, dass du aus der Zahl der Länder verschwindest; ich vernichte dich. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

8. "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Moab and Seir have said: Look at the House of Judah; it is no different from any other nation;

8. So spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil Moab und Seïr sagen: Dem Haus Juda geht es wie allen anderen Völkern!,

9. very well, I shall expose Moab's heights; its cities will no longer be cities throughout the land -- the jewels of the country, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon and Kiriathaim.

9. darum will ich die Flanke Moabs aufreißen, sodass es bei ihm keine Stadt mehr gibt von einem Ende zum andern, nicht mehr Bet-Jeschimot, Baal-Meon und Kirjatajim, die Zierde des Landes.

10. I shall let the sons of the East and the Ammonites take possession of them, so that they will no longer be remembered by the nations.

10. Zusammen mit den Ammonitern gebe ich es den Völkern des Ostens zum Besitz, sodass die Ammoniter unter den Nationen nicht mehr erwähnt werden

11. I shall bring Moab to justice, and they will know that I am Yahweh.

11. und ich an Moab das Urteil vollstrecke. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

12. "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Edom has taken revenge on the House of Judah and committed great crimes in doing so,

12. So spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil Edom sich am Haus Juda gerächt hat, weil es Schuld auf sich geladen und Rache an ihm genommen hat,

13. very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand will be against Edom and denude it of human and animal. I shall lay it waste, from Teman as far as Dedan they will be put to the sword.

13. darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr: Ich strecke meine Hand gegen Edom aus, ich vernichte darin Mensch und Tier und mache es zur Wüste. Von Teman bis Dedan sollen sie unter dem Schwert fallen.

14. I shall take vengeance on Edom by means of my people Israel. They will treat Edom as my anger and fury dictate, and they will know this is my vengeance -- declares the Lord Yahweh.

14. Ich lege meine Rache an Edom in die Hand meines Volkes Israel. Sie werden an Edom meinem Zorn und Grimm entsprechend handeln. Dann wird Edom meine Rache kennen lernen - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.

15. "The Lord Yahweh says this, "Since the Philistines have acted in revenge and, motivated by malice, have taken revenge, doing their best to destroy because of their long-standing hatred,

15. So spricht Gott, der Herr: Weil die Philister rachsüchtig waren und voll Verachtung Rache nahmen, um Juda aus uralter Feindschaft zu vernichten,

16. very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand will be against the Philistines; I shall exterminate the Cherethites and destroy the rest of the coastal peoples.

16. darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr: Ich will jetzt meine Hand gegen die Philister ausstrecken, ich will die Kereter ausrotten und die übrigen Völker an der Küste vernichten.

17. I shall perform frightful acts of vengeance and inflict furious punishments on them; and they will know that I am Yahweh, when I exact my vengeance on them." '

17. Ich nehme an ihnen gewaltige Rache mit grimmigen Strafen. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin, wenn ich mich an ihnen räche.
