Salmos, 50

1. Salmo. De Asaf. El Dios de los dioses, Yahveh, habla y convoca a la tierra desde oriente hasta occidente.

1. <A Psalm of Asaph.> The mighty God, [even] the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

2. Desde Sión, la Hermosa sin par, Dios resplandece,

2. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

3. viene nuestro Dios y no se callará. Delante de él, un fuego que devora, en torno a él, violenta tempestad;

3. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

4. convoca a los cielos desde lo alto, y a la tierra para juzgar a su pueblo.

4. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

5. «¡Congregad a mis fieles ante mí, los que mi alianza con sacrificio concertaron!»

5. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

6. Anuncian los cielos su justicia, porque es Dios mismo el juez.

6. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God [is] judge himself. Selah.

7. «Escucha, pueblo mío, que hablo yo, Israel, yo atestiguo contra ti, yo, Dios, tu Dios.

7. Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I [am] God, [even] thy God.

8. «No es por tus sacrificios por lo que te acuso: ¡están siempre ante mí tus holocaustos!

8. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, [to have been] continually before me.

9. No tengo que tomar novillo de tu casa, ni machos cabríos de tus apriscos.

9. I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he goats out of thy folds.

10. «Pues mías son todas las fieras de la selva, las bestias en los montes a millares;

10. For every beast of the forest [is] mine, [and] the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11. conozco todas las aves de los cielos, mías son las bestias de los campos.

11. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field [are] mine.

12. «Si hambre tuviera, no habría de decírtelo, porque mío es el orbe y cuanto encierra.

12. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world [is] mine, and the fulness thereof.

13. ¿Es que voy a comer carne de toros, o a beber sangre de machos cabríos?

13. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14. «Sacrificio ofrece a Dios de acción de gracias, cumple tus votos al Altísimo;

14. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15. e invócame en el día de la angustia, te libraré y tú me darás gloria.»

15. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16. Pero al impío Dios le dice: «¿Qué tienes tú que recitar mis preceptos, y tomar en tu boca mi alianza,

16. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or [that] thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

17. tú que detestas la doctrina, y a tus espaldas echas mis palabras?

17. Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

18. «Si a un ladrón ves, te vas con él, alternas con adúlteros;

18. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

19. sueltas tu boca al mal, y tu lengua trama engaño.

19. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

20. «Te sientas, hablas contra tu hermano, deshonras al hijo de tu madre.

20. Thou sittest [and] speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

21. Esto haces tú, ¿y he de callarme? ¿Es que piensas que yo soy como tú? Yo te acuso y lo expongo ante tus ojos.

21. These [things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether [such an one] as thyself: [but] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.

22. «¡Entended esto bien los que olvidáis a Dios, no sea que yo arrebate y no haya quien libre!

22. Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, and [there be] none to deliver.

23. El que ofrece sacrificios de acción de gracias me da gloria, al hombre recto le mostraré la salvación de Dios.»

23. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] conversation [aright] will I shew the salvation of God.
