2 Thessalonians, 1

4. so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

2 Thessalonians 1 talks about God's righteousness and his retribution to those who persecute Christians. The chapter emphasizes that God is righteous and will bring judgment to those who do evil, while rewarding those who remain faithful to Him. Following are five verses related to the topics addressed in 2 Thessalonians 1:

Psalm 94:23 - "He shall make his own evil fall upon them and destroy them in his own malice; yes, the Lord our God will destroy them." This verse talks about how God will bring justice to those who practice evil and will destroy them in their own wickedness, as it is emphasized in 2 Thessalonians 1.

Revelation 19:2 - "For true and righteous are his judgments, for he judged the great prostitute who had corrupted the earth with her prostitution and her hands avenged the blood of her servants." Psalm 50:3-4 - "Our God comes, and does not keep silence; before He burns a devouring fire, and great storms around him. He calls the heavens up there, and the earth, to judge his people .
