Isaiah, 16

Chapter 16 of Isaiah is a prophecy about the destruction of Moab and the promise that one day God will restore the glory of the people of Moab. The selected verses are as follows:

Jeremiah 48:47: "However, I will restore the luck of Moab in recent days, says the Lord." This verse is a restoration promise for Moab, which is mentioned in Isaiah 16.

Amos 2:1: "Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not remove the punishment, because it burned the bones of the king of Edom to Cal." This verse talks about Moab's sin and its punishment, which is relevant to Moab's trial described in Isaiah 16.

Jeremiah 48:36: "That's why my heart moans because of Moab as flutists, and my heart moans like flutes because of the men of quir-men; for all his wealth has faded." This verse describes the lamentation of the prophet Jeremiah by Moab, who has lost his wealth and is suffering, a theme that is also mentioned in Isaiah 16.
