Psalms, 38

3. [There is] no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither [is there any] rest in my bones because of my sin.

Psalm 38 is a prayer of repentance and supplication for mercy, where the psalmist recognizes his guilt and calls for God's help in the midst of suffering. The selected verses are related to topics such as pain, affliction, repentance and trust in God.

Psalm 6:2: "There is mercy on me, Lord, because I feel weak; sarah, Lord, because my bones are shaken." Like the psalmist in Psalm 38, the psalmist in Psalm 6 calls for mercy and heals for his pain and suffering.

Psalm 25:18: "Look at my affliction and my suffering, and forgive all my sins." This verse shows the psalmist's humility to recognize his guilt and ask forgiveness, a theme also present in Psalm 38.
