Colossians, 2

2. That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

Chapter 2 of Colossians deals with the importance of true wisdom and knowledge of God in contrast to false human philosophies and traditions. Paul warns the Colossians not to be deceived by empty teachings and argues that the fullness of God dwells in Christ. He also addresses the issue of circumcision and urges Colossians not to be enslaved by rituals and external practices. Follow five verses that relate to the topics addressed in Colossians 2:

Proverbs 2:6: "For the Lord grants wisdom, and of his mouth comes knowledge and discernment." This verse highlights the importance of wisdom and knowledge that comes from God, a central theme in Colossians 2.

1 Corinthians 1:30: "But thanks to Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God, justice, holiness, and redemption." This verse highlights the importance of Christ as the source of God's true wisdom, a theme emphasized in Colossians 2.

Ephesians 4:14: "Then we will no longer be as children, taken from side to side by the waves, nor thrown here and by all the wind of doctrine and by the cunning and cleverness of men who induce error." Galatians 5:1: "It was to freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, they remain firm and not to be subjected to a yoke of slavery." 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, rebuke, correction and instruction in righteousness, for the man of God to be able and fully prepared for all good constructions." This verse highlights the importance of Scripture as a source of truth and instruction in the Christian life, a theme that is emphasized in Colossians 2.
