Deuteronomy, 17

7. The hands of the witnesses shall throw the first stones to kill the accused. Afterwards all the people shall stone him. In this way, you will make the evil disappear from your midst.

Deuteronomy chapter 17 deals with justice and punishment for those who disobey the laws established by God. It is emphasized that it is important to have a fair system of judgment, and that people must follow the decisions of the judges. Leviticus 19:15: "You will not commit injustice in the judgment. You will not make the sense of people with the poor, nor will you lean before the great; with justice you will judge your neighbor."
