1 John, 2

24. Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you, too, will remain in the Son and in the Father.

Chapter 2 of 1 St. John talks about the importance of obeying God's commandments and following the example of Jesus. In addition, the author warns of the presence of false teachers and teaches about fraternal love among the brothers in faith. Below are five verses related to these themes:

Ephesians 2:10: "For we are his own making, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God in advance prepared for us to walk in them." Just as 1 St. John 2 highlights the importance of following the example of Jesus, this verse of Ephesians teaches that we were created in Christ to perform good works that were prepared by God for us.
