Hosea, 6

3. He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live in his sight. We will understand, and we will continue on, so that we may know the Lord. His landing place has been prepared like the first light of morning, and he will come to us like the early and the late rains of the land.

Hosea 6 talks about the unfaithful and transgressive nature of the people of Israel, who returns to God only in times of despair, but quickly deflects again. Next are five verses from other parts of the Bible that relate to the topics addressed in Hosea 6.

Isaiah 29:13: "This people approach me with my mouth and honor me with the lips, but their hearts are far from me. The worship that gives me is made only of rules taught by men." This verse shows how worship and devotion to God must be genuine and come from the heart rather than just mechanical and external rituals.

Ezekiel 33:31: "They come to you as if they were a people and sit before you as if they were my people, hear their words, but do not put them into practice. With their mouths they speak love, but their hearts seek only profit." This verse highlights how God's people should act according to God's words and not just talk about love and devotion.
