In Job 23, Job expresses his anguish and desire to find God, but feels that He is inaccessible. Job calls for a just judgment and believes that if he could appear before God, he would be justified. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Job 23:
Psalm 139:7-10: "Where could I escape your Spirit? Where could you escape your presence? Wings of Dawn and live in the ends of the sea, even there your right hand will guide me and sustain me. Psalm 34:18: "Near the lord of those who have a broken heart and save those of the oppressed spirit." This verse talks about God's closeness to those who have a broken heart and oppressed spirit, showing that he is present in times of anguish.
