Joshua, 14

12. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims [were] there, and [that] the cities [were] great [and] fenced: if so be the LORD [will be] with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

Joshua chapter 14 describes how the land of Canaan was divided between the tribes of Israel, and as Caleb, one of the spies sent by Moses to the promised land, asked Joshua to give him a portion of land that had been promised to him for God. Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the Lord; encourage you, and strengthen your heart; wait, therefore, for the Lord." This verse relates to the idea that Caleb has waited patiently for fulfilling God's promise, and that all believers must trust and wait in the Lord to fulfill their promises and plans in their lives.
