1 Kings 9 tells the Lord's answer to Solomon after the completion of the construction of the temple and the palace. The chapter deals mainly to the covenant between God and Solomon, as well as the fulfillment of the promises God made to David. In addition, it also mentions the business relationship between Solomon and Hiram, king of Tire.
2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, which is called by my name, humble themselves, pray and pursue my face and move away from their evil ways, from heaven I will hear him, forgive his sin and heal his earth . " This verse speaks of the covenant between God and Solomon, and points out that if the people humble themselves, pray and seek the face of God, he will hear and forgive his sins.
Psalm 72:10: "May the kings of Tarshis and the coastal regions bring them tribute; may the kings of Sabbath and Sebá offer him gifts." This verse relates to the covenant between God and Solomon, which guaranteed peace and prosperity to Israel during his reign.
1 Kings 3:11: "And God said unto him," Since he asked me and not a long life or wealth, nor did he ask for the death of his enemies, but discernment to rule with justice, I will do what he asked, giving him a wise heart and able to discern between good and evil. "This verse highlights the wisdom that Solomon received from God to rule with righteousness.
2 Samuel 7:12-13: "When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will establish your descendant to succeed you, who will come out of your own body, and will sign your kingdom. He will build a temple in honor By my name, and I will establish the throne of your kingdom forever. " This verse highlights the fulfillment of God's promises to David, which were fulfilled during Solomon's reign.
