Isaiah, 18

2. which sends ambassadors by the Nile, in vessels of papyrus upon the waters! Go, you swift messengers, to a nation, tall and smooth, to a people feared near and far, a nation mighty and conquering, whose land the rivers divide.

Isaiah 18 deals with Isaiah's prophetic vision about Ethiopia. The chapter begins with a description of the earth that is inhabited by a tall and slender people who live along the banks of the rivers. Then the prophet talks about the message God has to the Ethiopian people and how this message will be delivered. The following verses are related to the topics addressed in Isaiah 18:

Psalm 68:31: "Princes will come from Egypt; Ethiopia will soon extend to God his hands." This verse indicates that Ethiopia will seek God and turn to Him.

Sophons 3:10: "From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, my worshipers, my dispersion, will bring me offers." This verse refers to God's worshipers from Ethiopia who will bring him offers.
