1. Yahweh parla à Moi¨se, dans le désert de Senai¨, le premier mois de la déuxime année après leur sortie du pays d'Egypte.

1. In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,

2. Il dit: "Que les enfants d'Israël fassent la Pâque au temps fixé.

2. "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.

3. Vous le farez au temp fixé, le quatorzèime jeurs de ce mois, entre les deux soirs: c'est le temps fixé; vous le farez selon toutes les lois et toutes les ordonnances qui la concernent".

3. The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."

4. Moïse parla donc aux enfants d'Israël, afin qu'ils fissent le Pâque.

4. Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.

5. Et ils firent la Pâque le quatorzèime jour do primier mois, entre les deux soirs, dans le desert de Senaï. Selon tout ce que Yahweh avait ordonnée à Moïse, ainsi firent les enfants d'Israël.

5. And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

6. Il y eut des hommes qi se trouvaient impurs à cause d'un cadavre et qui ne purent faire la Pâque ce jour-là. S'étant présentés le jour même devant Moïse et Aron, IL dirent a Moïse:

6. There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day

7. "Nous somes impurs à cause de un cadavre; pourquoi serions-nous privés de présenter l'offrand a Yahweh, au temps fixe, au milieu des enfants d'Israël?

7. and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"

8. Moïse leur répondit: "Attendez que j'apprenne ce que Yahweh vous ordennera".

8. Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."

9. Yahweh parla à Moi¨se en disant:

9. The LORD then said to Moses:

10. "Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis-leur: Si quelq'un, parmi vous ou parmi vous descendants, se trouve impur à cause dun cadavre ou est en voyage au loin, il fera la Pâque en l'honneur de Yahweh.

10. "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.

11. C'est au second mois qu'ils la feront, le quatorzéime jour, entre les doux soirs; ils la mangeront avec des pains avec levai et des et des herbes amères.

11. But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,

12. Ils n'en laisseront rien jusqu'au matin, et ils n'en briseront point les os. Ils le célébraront selon toutes les prescriptions relatives a la Pâque.

12. and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.

13. Si qualqu'un, étant, pour et n'étant pass en voyage, omet de faire la Pâque, il ser retranché de son poupe. parce qu'il n'a pas présenté l'offrende de Yahweh aux temps fixé, il porterá son péqué.

13. However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.

14. Si um étranger séjournant chez vous fait la Pâque de Yahweh, il observera les lois et ordonnances concernant la Pâque. Il y aura un même loi pour vous, pour l'étranger comme pour l'indigene.

14. "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."

15. Le jour où la Demeure fut dresée, la neué courvrit la Demeure: qui est la tente du témoignage; depuis le soir jusqu'au matin, il y eut sur la Demeurecomme l'aparence d'un feu.

15. On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.

16. Il en fut aisi continuellemen: la nuée couvrait la Demeure; et la nuit elle avait l'apparence d'un feu.

16. It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.

17. Quand la nuée s'elevait de dessus la tente, les enfants d'Israël levaient le camp et a l'endroit où la nuée s'arrêtait, ils dessaient le camp.

17. Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.

18. Au commandement de Yahweh, les enfants d'Israël levaient le camp, et au commandement de Yahweh ils le dressaient; ils restaient campés tant que la nuée se reposait sur la Demeure.

18. At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.

19. Quand la nuée se reposait sur la Demeure, les enfants d'Israël observaient le commandement de Yahweh et ne levaient pas le camp.

19. Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;

20. Il en était de même quand la nuée ne s'arrêtait que peu de jours sur la Demeure: au commandement de Yahweh ils dressaient le camp, et au commandement de Yahweh ils se levaient.

20. yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.

21. Si la nuée se reposait seulement du soir au matin, et s'élevait le matin, ils levaient le camp; ou, si la nuée s'élevait après un jour et une nuit, ils levaient le camp.

21. Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.

22. Si la nuée s'arrêtait sur la Demeure plusieurs jours, un mois ou une année, les enfants d'Israël restaient campés, et ne levaient point le camp; mais, dès qu'elle s'élevait, ils levaient le camp.

22. Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.

23. Au commandement de Yahweh ils dressaient le camp, et au commandement de Yahweh ils levaient le camp; ils observaient le commandement de Yahweh, conformémént à l'ordre de Yahweh transmis par Moïse.

23. Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.
