Ezéchiel, 25

1. La parole de Dieu me fut adressée en ces termes:

1. Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

2. "Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face vers les enfants d'Ammon; et prophétise contre eux.

2. Son of man, turn toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

3. Tu diras aux enfants d'Ammon: Ecoutez la parole du Seigneur Yahweh: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Puisque un dis: Ha! Ha!, sur mon sanctuaire parce qu'il a été profané, et sur la terre d'lsraël parce qu'elle a été dévastée, et sur la maison de Juda parce qu'ils sont allés en captivité,

3. Say to the Ammonites: Hear the word of the LORD! Thus says the Lord GOD: Because you cried out your joy over the desecration of my sanctuary, the devastation of the land of Israel, and the exile of the house of Judah,

4. à cause de cela, voici que je vais te donner en possession aux fils de l'Orient; ils établiront chez toi leurs campements, et fixeront chez toi leurs demeures; ce sont eux qui mangeront tes fruits, eux qui boiront ton lait.

4. therefore I will deliver you into the possession of the Easterners. They shall set up their encampments among you and pitch their tents; they shall eat your fruits and drink your milk.

5. Et je ferai de Rabbath un pâturage de chameaux, et du pays des enfants d'Ammon un bercail de brebis, et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh.

5. I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and the villages of the Ammonites a resting place for flocks. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

6. Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Parce que tu as battu des mains, et que tu as frappé du pied, et que tu t'es réjouis dans ton âme avec tout ton dédain, au sujet de la terre d'lsraël,

6. For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing most maliciously in your heart over the land of Israel,

7. à cause de cela, voici que je vais étendre ma main contre toi; je te donnerai en butin aux nations, je t'exterminerai d'entre les peuples, et je te retrancherai d'entre les pays; je t'anéantirai, et tu sauras que le suis Yahweh."

7. therefore I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you plunder for the nations, I will cut you off from the peoples, and remove you from the lands. I will destroy you, and thus you shall know that I am the LORD.

8. "Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Parce que Moab et Séir disent:

8. Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, "See! the house of Judah is like all other nations,"

9. "Voici que la maison de Juda est comme toutes les nations," à cause de cela, voici que je vais ouvrir le flanc de Moab, depuis les villes, depuis ses villes, depuis sa frontière, la gloire du pays, Bethjésimoth, Beelméon et Cariathain.

9. therefore I will clear the shoulder of Moab totally of its cities, the jewels of the land: Beth-jesimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim.

10. Je vais l'ouvrir aux fils de l'Orient, aussi bien que le pays des enfants d'Ammon, et je le leur donnerai en possession. afin qu'on ne se souvienne plus des enfants d'Ammon parmi les nations.

10. I will hand her over, along with the Ammonites, into the possession of the Easterners, that she may not be remembered among the peoples.

11. J'exercerai des jugements en Moab, et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh."

11. Thus I will execute judgment upon Moab, that they may know that I am the LORD.

12. "Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Parce qu'Edom a exercé cruellement la vengeance contre la maison de Juda, et qu'il s'est rendu grandement coupable en se vengeant d'eux,

12. Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom has taken vengeance on the house of Judah and has made itself grievously guilty by taking vengeance on them,

13. à cause de cela, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: J'étendrai ma main contre Edom et j'exterminerai du milieu de lui hommes et bêtes; j'en ferai un désert depuis Théman, et jusqu'à Dédan ils tomberont par l'épée.

13. therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it man and beast. I will make it a waste from Teman to Dedan; they shall fall by the sword.

14. J'exercerai ma vengeance sur Edom, par la main de mon peuple d'Israël; il traitera Edom selon ma colère et ma fureur, et ils connaîtront ma vengeance, --oracle du Seigneur Yahweh. "

14. My vengeance upon Edom I will entrust to my people Israel, who will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my fury; thus they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.

15. "'Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Parce que les Philistins ont exercé la vengeance, et qu'ils se sont cruellement vengés, avec le dédain en leur âme pour tout exterminer dans leur haine éternelle,

15. Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines have acted revengefully, and have taken vengeance with destructive malice in their hearts, with an undying enmity,

16. à cause de cela, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Voici que j'étendrai ma main contré les Philistins, j'exterminerai les Crétois, et je détruirai le reste qui habite sur le rivage de la mer.

16. therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am stretching out my hand against the Philistines; I will cut off the Cherethites and wipe out the remnant on the seacoast.

17. J'exercerai sur eux de grandes vengeances, les châtiant avec fureur, et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh, quand je ferai tomber sur eux ma vengeance."

17. I will execute great acts of vengeance on them, punishing them furiously. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD, when I wreak my vengeance on them.
