Psalm 17 is a prayer of David, where he cries to God for protection and justice against his enemies. David asks God to examine his thoughts and his actions, and that he free him of the wicked men around him. He trusts that God is His only hope and refuge. Psalm 91:2 - "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, whom I trust." This verse speaks of David's confidence in God as his refuge and fortress, which protects him from evil.
