Jeremiah, 2

27. To a tree they say: 'You are my father!' and to a stone: 'You gave me birth!' For they have turned their back on me instead of their face! In the day of misfortune they will call me: 'Rise and save us!'

Hosea 2:13: "She did not acknowledge that I was the one who gave her the wheat, the new wine and the oil, and multiply the silver and the gold, which they used for Baal." This verse describes how Israel forgot that God was the source of all his material blessings, giving his prosperity to Baal, a false God.
