Numbers, 4

37. This was the number of the Kohathites, of all those who were given tasks in the Tent of Meeting whom Moses and Aaron counted at the Lord's command given through Moses.

Chapter 4 of numbers deals with the responsibilities of the Levites regarding the transport of the tabernacle and the sacred objects during the journey through the desert. The selected verses are:

Deuteronomy 31:25-26: "That Moses commanded the Levites to transport the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying, Take this book of the law and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord, your God, that it may be as witness against you. Hebrews 9:1-5: "Now the first covenant also had ordinances of worship and an earthly sanctuary. But behind the second veil was the tabernacle called the Holy of Saints, who had a gold censer, and the ark of the alliance all covered with gold ...
