1 Samuel, 22

13. And Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, so that he has risen against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?"

Hebrews 13:5-6-"Be your life exempt from greed, contenting you with what you have; for he himself said, I will not let you, nor will I help you. And so with confidence we dared to say, The Lord is my helper , and I will not fear what the man can do to me. " These verses encourage believers not to give in to greed and to trust the Lord as his helper and protector, just as David did during his Saul escape.
