25. When you have children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, do not be corrupted by having idols and doing that which offends Yahweh. If you anger him, you will perish from the land which is going to be yours after crossing the Jordan.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 - "Behold, today I put before you the blessing and the curse: the blessing, when you fulfill the commandments of the Lord your God, which today I command you; but the curse, if you do not fulfill the commandments of the Lord if you do not fulfill the Lord Your God, but you deviate from the way that I command you today, to follow other gods you have not known. " This verse highlights the importance of choosing to obey God and follow his ways in order to receive blessings rather than curses. It is a warning that Moses makes Israel in Deuteronomy 4.
