Isaiah, 46

1. Bel has been broken. Nebo has been crushed. Their idols have been placed upon beasts and cattle, your grievous heavy burdens, even unto exhaustion.

1. Pade Bel! Sruši se Nebo! Prte svoje kipove na životinje i stoku, nose ih kao breme, teret što zamara.

4. Do starosti vaše ja æu ostat' isti, do vaših sjedina podupirat æu vas. To sam èinio; nosit æu vas i dalje, pomagati vas, izbavljati.

5. To whom would you likened me, or equate me, or compare me, or consider me to be similar?

5. S kime biste me usporedili i izjednaèili, s kime prispodobili: komu da sam slièan?

6. You take gold from a bag, and you weigh silver on a scale, so as to hire a goldsmith to make a god. And they fall prostrate and adore.

6. Vade zlato iz kese i tezuljom mjere srebro, pa naimlju zlatara da od njeg boga naèini te pred njim padaju nièice i klanjaju se.

7. They carry him on their shoulders, supporting him, and they set him in his place. And he will stand still and will not move from his place. But even when they will cry out to him, he will not hear. He will not save them from tribulation.

7. Dižu ga na rame i nose ga, onda ga stavljaju na njegovo mjesto; on stoji i ne mièe se s njega. Prizivaju li ga, on ne odgovara i nikog ne spasava od nevolje njegove.

8. Remember this, and be confounded. Return, you transgressors, to the heart.

11. S istoka zovem grabljivicu, iz daleke zemlje zovem èovjeka svog nauma. Rekao sam - ispunit æu, naumio sam - izvršit æu.

12. Hear me, you who are hard of heart, who are far from justice!

12. Slušajte me, vi koji gubite srèanost i koji ste daleko od pobjede.

13. I have brought my justice near. It will not be far away, and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation in Zion, and my glory in Israel.

13. Primièem svoju pobjedu, nije više daleko, spasenje moje zakasniti neæe. Na Sion æu spas staviti, u Izraela svoju slavu."
