Then the LORD said to Joshua, (Joshua 20, 1)
that the manslayer who kills any person without intent or unwittingly may flee there; they shall be for you a refuge from the avenger of blood. (Joshua 20, 3)

which went to the descendants of Aaron, one of the families of the Ko'hathites who belonged to the Levites; since the lot fell to them first. (Joshua 21, 10)
