Jeremiah, 16

10. And when you announce all these words to this people, they will say to you: ‘Why would the Lord pronounce all this great evil against us? What is our iniquity and what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?’

Zechariah 7:12: "They made their hard hearts as a diamond, so as not to hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent for His Spirit through the ancient prophets, so came the great wrath of the Lord of hosts . " This verse talks about how resistance to God's words can lead to God's wrath and its punishment.
