Deuteronomy 1:21: "See, the Lord, his God, he gave him the earth. Go up and take possession of it, like the Lord, the God of his ancestors, promised him. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 1:26: "But you refused to rise; you rebelled against the order of the Lord, your God." This verse shows the disobedience of the people of Israel, who refused to trust God and to take possession of the land of Canaan.
Joshua 1:9: "Did I not have ordered you? Be strong and brave! Do not terminate, nor be discouraged, for the Lord, your God, will be with you where you walk."
