Exodus, 7

19. The LORD then said to Moses, "Say to Aaron: Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt--their streams and canals and pools, all their supplies of water--that they may become blood. Throughout the land of Egypt there shall be blood, even in the wooden pails and stone jars."

In Exodus 7, God begins to show His power before Pharaoh and the Egyptian people through Moses and Aaron, sending several pests over Egypt to free the Hebrews from slavery. This verse shows how the Egyptian wizards managed to replicate the transformation of water into blood through their own enchantments, but Pharaoh was not convinced to release the Hebrews.

Exodus 7:25 - "And seven days passed after the Lord wounded the river." This verse marks the end of the first plague, and shows how God's pests were progressively getting worse and lasting longer, intensifying the pressure on Pharaoh to release the Hebrews.
