2 Kings, 20

5. "Turn back, and say to Hezeki'ah the prince of my people, Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD.

Chapter 20 of 2 kings relates the story of Hezekiah, king of Judah, who badly gets sick. God sends the prophet Isaiah to tell Hezekiah that He will die, but Hezekiah pray to God and asks his life to be spared. God meets your prayer and gives you 15 years of life. Hezekiah asks for a sign of God to confirm that He will be healed and God shares the sun back down 10 degrees as a signal for Hezekiah. Psalm 30:2: "Lord my God, I cry to help, and you heal me." This verse shows the attitude of Hezekiah by praying to God for healing in his illness.

Isaiah 38:1: "In those days, Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, went to him and said, 'Thus saith the Lord, Give your family orders, because you will die; will not recover '. " This verse introduces the theme of Hezekiah's disease and God's intervention through the prophet Isaiah.
