1 Maccabees, 9

35. And Jonathan sent his brother as leader of the multitude and begged the Nabateans, who were his friends, for permission to store with them the great amount of baggage which they had.

1 Maccabees 9 describes the war between the armies of Judas Macabeu and Baquids, General of the Seleucid King. The chapter begins with a description of the Backet Strategy to attack Judas and his men, followed by a battle that occurs on a mountainous slope.
