Chapter 1 of the Gospel of John presents Jesus as the Word of God Incarnate, who came to illuminate all and reveal the grace and truth of God to the world. John 3:19-20: "This is judgment: Light came into the world, but men loved darkness more than light, because their works were evil. " This verse relates to the idea of John 1:14 that the word became flesh and dwelt among us, revealing the grace and the truth of God to the world.
