2 Chronicles, 10

18. Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that [was] over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to [his] chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

Galatians 5:14: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." This verse emphasizes the importance of love and empathy in dealing with other people. If Roban had loved his people and considered his needs, he could have avoided the division of the kingdom of Israel.
