Deuteronomy, 6

1. These are the precepts, and ceremonies, and judgments, which the Lord your God commanded that I should teach you, and that you should do them in the land into which you pass over to possess it:

Deuteronomy 6 contains the famous passage of "Shema Yisrael", which is a central statement of the Jewish faith. Joshua 24:15: "But if they do not like to serve the Lord, choose today to those who will serve, whether the gods their ancestors have served beyond the Euphrates, or to the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
