Romans, 1

20. For, though we cannot see him, we can at least discover him through his works; for he created the world and through his works we understand him to be eternal and all-powerful, and to be God. So they have no excuse,

Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you are saved, through faith; and this does not come from you, it is the gift of God; it does not come from the works, so that no one can glorious." This verse emphasizes that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by the works of man.
