Wisdom of Solomon, 12

20. For even if the enemies of your servants were deserving of death, you afflicted them with great attentiveness, providing a time and a place whereby they would be able to be changed from malice;

Revelation 2:5-"Remember where it fell! Repent and practice the works you practiced at the beginning." This verse talks about repentance and the need to turn to the things of God.
