Genesis, 42

25. And taking Simeon, and binding him in their presence, he ordered his ministers to fill their sacks with wheat, and to replace each one’s money in their sacks, and to give them, in addition, provisions for the way. And they did so.

Ephesians 4:32: "Before, thirst for one to the other benign, merciful, forgiving one another, as God has forgiven you in Christ." Joseph chooses to forgive his brothers for what they did to him, showing them the same mercy that God showed him. James 5:16: "Confess, therefore, your sins to each other and pray for each other, to be healed. The prayer made by a righteous can much in its effects."
