Leviticus 20 presents a list of punishments for various transgressions, including forbidden sex, idolatry and other practices considered abominable in the eyes of God. Below are five verses related to the themes of the chapter:
Deuteronomy 22:22 "If it is discovered that a man is lying with another man's wife, both must die, the man who is lying with his wife and his own woman. So you will eliminate the evil of Israel." This verse shows that adultery punishment is not exclusive to Leviticus 20, but it is a law that appears in other parts of the Bible.
Deuteronomy 18:9-12 "Do not be found among you who practice guessing, who practice magic, who interprets omens, who practices witchcraft, who makes enchantments, who consult spirits or mediums, or who invokes the dead.
