Genesis, 38

18. Judah asked, "What pledge am I to give to you?" She answered, "Your seal and cord, and the staff you carry." So he gave them to her and had intercourse with her, and she conceived by him.

Deuteronomy 22:22 - "If you are caught in the act the man who is with a woman married to another man, both should die, the man who lay with his wife and woman as well. Proverbs 6:32 - "He who commits adultery has no judgment, who proceeds to himself destroys himself." This verse highlights the serious consequences of adultery practice, which include not only legal punishments but also personal destruction.

James 4:4 - "Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Who wants to be a friend of the world is an enemy of God." James reinforces the severity of adultery sin and emphasizes that those who get involved in immoral practices are moving away from God.

Ezekiel 18:20 - "The Son will not pay for the sins of the Father, and the Father will not pay for the sins of the Son.
