1 John, 2

13. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father.

Chapter 2 of 1 St. John talks about the importance of obeying God's commandments and following the example of Jesus. In addition, the author warns of the presence of false teachers and teaches about fraternal love among the brothers in faith. Below are five verses related to these themes:

Proverbs 19:16: "He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul; but what despises his ways will die." This verse emphasizes the importance of obeying God's commandments, which bring life and protection to those who follow them.

John 15:10: "If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love." Jesus is the maximum example of obedience to God's commandments, and by following Him, we also remain in the love of God.
