Jeremiah 28 reports the dispute between the prophet Hananias and Jeremiah. Jeremiah 14:15: "So thus saith the Lord about the prophets who prophesy in my name, without me having sent them, and say, neither sword or hunger there will be in this earth: these prophets will be consumed by sword and hunger." The verse shows that the false prophets who speak in the name of God without being sent by Him will suffer the consequences of their false words.

Matthew 24:24: "For false Christs and false prophets will be raised, and will make great signs and wonders; in such a way that if possible, they would even deceive the chosen ones." This verse warns of the existence of false prophets who make signs and wonders to deceive people, and states that even Christians can be deceived if they are not aware.

1 John 4:1: "Beloved, do not believe the whole Spirit, but prove whether the spirits are of God; for many false prophets have come out around the world." The verse urges Christians to test spirits to verify that messages and teachings are indeed from God, for many false prophets are acting in the world.
