Jeremiah, 21

7. And afterward, thus says the Lord: I will give Zedekiah, the king of Judah, and his servants, and his people, and those who have been left behind in this city after pestilence and the sword and famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their lives. And he will strike them with the edge of the sword. And he will not waver, and he will not be lenient, and he will not take pity.

Versi relativi a Jeremiah, 21:

Jeremiah 21 presents a message from God to the king of Judah, Zedekiah, about the judgment that was about to happen over the people of Judah. God warned the king that the Babylonian army would come to destroy the city and bring the captive people. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in Jeremiah 21:

Isaiah 1:15-17: "When you extend your hands in prayer, I will hide from you my eyes; even if you multiply your prayers, I will not hear them! Your hands are full of blood! Remove your bad works away from my sight! Stop doing evil, learn to do good! Seek justice, end up with oppression. Fight for the orphan's rights, defend the cause of the widow. " God asks his people to stop doing evil and begin to do good, seeking justice and ending oppression.

Jeremiah 22:3: "Thus says the Lord, Practice justice and right. Deliver the oppressed from the oppressor's hand. Do not oppress the foreigner, the orphan or the widow. Do not pour out innocent blood in this place." God instructs the people of Judah to practice justice and law, freeing the oppressed and avoiding oppression, and does not pour out innocent blood.

Ezekiel 33:11: "I swear for my life, word of the sovereign, the Lord, who I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but in which they move away from their ways and live. Return from their bad ways! Why Would you die, O nation of Israel? " God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but wants them to repent and return to him.

Psalm 91:15: "He shall invoke me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in anguish, free him and glorify him." God promises to be present with his children during his anguish, freeing them and glorifying them.

John 16:33: "I told you these things that you may have peace in me. In this world you will have afflictions; however, have the mood! I have won the world." Jesus warns his disciples that in this world they would have afflictions, but that he had won them, bringing peace and hope.
